ABOUT
Circle Thrift is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit (EIN 23-2989934) that generates funds and offers in-kind donations to support our community. Since opening in 2004, our goal has been to share our profits with organizations that work toward community well-being with a preference for those that support kids and families and fight poverty. At the same time, we’ve been determined to reduce waste in landfills by finding new homes for useful castoffs and to make household goods available at affordable prices. We are also committed to providing sustainable jobs and being a good neighbor.
Every year, we:
- Give unrestricted operating grants of $500-$25,000 to nonprofit community organizations
- Provide free vouchers to approximately 75 agencies that include community centers, clinics, shelters, addiction treatment facilities, and retirement homes
- Prevent over 130,000 pounds of unusable clothing from entering landfills
- Are committed to keeping prices low (as low as 50 cents!) for clothing and household essentials
Our store helps the community by:
- Providing free clothing, household essentials, furniture and other in-kind support for many people in need!
- Providing opportunities for teens and adults who have mandatory or volunteer community service hours to fill!
- Providing employment opportunities for individuals who want to contribute to the community!
- Transforming one person’s trash into another person’s treasures!
